About Nail Appointment:
Please read carefully about our policy

  • Appointments will only be kept only 10 Mins after the Client’s set time of arrival. We recommend that a Client contact us at least 30 Mins ahead if they will be more than 10 Mins late so that we can try our best to accommodate their appointment. Because Mellow Bar is an Appointment Based nail salon, we aim to respect the time of each and every Client. Failure to notify us at least 30 mins ahead will cause a cancellation of the appointment with charge. That charge will be issued as a store credit which can be redeemed on a new appointment that is within the next 7 days.

  • Cancellation and rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment is considered a Late Cancellation. A charge equivalent to 50% of the client’s service fee will be posted as a Late Cancellation Fee, which will be issued as Store Credit. Store Credit can be redeemed by booking a new appointment that is within the next 7 days. We encourage clients to contact our customer service team if they need assistance with rescheduling or have any other questions. Failure to process the payment will cause a temporary freeze on the account until a new valid payment method is provided. 

  • If we, Mellow Bar, have not received a response to our ETA text, or a message from Client notifying us of possible Lateness, or Cancellation before or past the grace period, it will be considered as a No Show. There will be a non-refundable full charge of the service booked. We recommend that clients contact our Customer Service team if there seems to be a miscommunication that has occurred. Cancellation charges will not be issued as a store credit. Failure to process the payment will cause a temporary freeze on the account until a new valid payment method is updated.

  • All services are not refundable once the service is completed. We encourage clients to contact customer service if they have feedback or an inquiry about the service received. Store credits will be issued based on a Client's situation and circumstance.

  • Because Mellow Bar is an Appointment Based nail salon, modifications to appointments are not guaranteed. We aim to respect the time of each and every Client so we encourage Clients to notify us 24 Hours in advance about any modifications desired. Modifications can cause delays at an Appointment Based salon, therefore, notifying the salon in advance can help management try their best to accommodate a Client’s request. If Client requests to modify/add service On Site, at the time of their appointment, Mellow Bar holds the right to cancel the appointment and post late cancellations charge. That charge will be issued as a Store Credit which can be redeemed on a new appointment that is within the next 7 days.

About Services:

  • We DO NOT take hard gel, powder and acrylic soak off from other salons. Those products require direct machine filing on natural nail surfaces to take off, and thus, taking off those products can potentially damage and make nails thinner. At Mellow Bar, we believe healthy nails can only be delivered from every careful step of the manicure/pedicure process and the choice of healthy products. Our gentle products might not be able to reach the best outcome. If you do need help with soaking off on the above products please contact customer service for advice.

  • If you'd like to use your own polish, please bring your own top coat and base coat. As our regular polish uses a different formula from other regular polishes on the market, combining different products together won't be able to deliver the ideal outcomes and will potentially contaminate our products.

  •  If you'd like to add a service to the appointment you are booking but do not see availability/options to do so, feel free to contact our customer service team and they will assist you with adding that service and completing the booking.

  • Our technicians are trained to perform manicures and pedicures with the Mellow Bar style process. If you wish to skip certain steps of the service, please note that Mellow Bar will not be able to comply with our free fix policy.

  • Please don’t hesitate to communicate with the technician or seek help from the salon assistants if you are uncertain about the color and design, or unsatisfied with the service during the service. We will try our best and coordinate it on site. 

About Quality:

  • How long does regular polish and gel polish last?

Because the products Mellow Bar use are gentler, the duration of polish can vary depending on the conditions of the customer’s nail and habits. Based on our regular clients’ feedback, normally regular polishes can last 5 to 14 days. Regular gel can last 1.5-3 weeks, and Japanese gel can last 2-4 weeks.

  •  Why gel chipped and lifted?

Early chipping is caused by several reasons like change of weather, habits of using the nails/hands, products that have been used previously/after the appointment, lifestyle etc. We suggest clients: 

  • Do not use any moisturizing products on your finger tips like hand cream and cuticle oil  4 hours before your appointment. 

  • send us a picture of the nails to our customer service team as soon as the chipping happens and we always offer free fix within 4 DAYS for regular polish and free fix within 7 DAYS for regular gel and Japanese gel polish.
